MovieScan is an application to manage your personal library of movies and TV shows. This policy describes how we handle your information.
By default, all your data (movies, series, posters) is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. Nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly sign in and save to the cloud.

MovieScan lets you sign in with Google to sync your collection across devices. When you sign in, Google sends us a secure token (id_token) that we use to identify your account. We only receive:
We do NOT access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google service. You can revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
When you tap 'Save' after signing in, your movie/series collection is uploaded to our sync server so you can access it from other devices. The server stores:
You can delete your data at any time by signing in on another device and tapping 'Save' with an empty collection, or by contacting us.
The application uses the public service OMDb (Open Movie Database) to search for movie and series information.
When you search for a movie, MovieScan sends the title to OMDb to retrieve its data.

We do NOT use cookies or tracking tools. We do NOT show advertising. We do NOT sell your data.
MovieScan is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
